HDBits is the oldest (since 2006) and most prestigious closed HD tracker in the world. In the tracker community, getting into HDBits is considered “the top of the pyramid”. It’s alive in 2026 — and remains the hardest resource to enter of any we write about.

How people get in — the honest answer

  • Open signups never happen. In its twenty-year history HDBits has never run an open signup — and 2026 is no different. Any site promising “HDBits registration” is lying.
  • Only staff and a narrow VIP/Elite circle can invite. Regular members have no invite privileges.
  • Official recruitment threads. Occasionally HDBits staff opens recruitment threads on other elite trackers. The only real strategy: build reputation for years on reachable trackers (see PassThePopcorn) and watch for those threads.

Warning

HDBits accounts fetch hundreds of dollars on the black market — but buying is banned by tracker rules and reliably ends in a ban with no refund. This is the one place where there is no shortcut at all.
